Met Gala Trends You Can Recreate.

This year’s MET Gala set up Camp in the most fabulous way possible. Whilst the couture was over the top, extravagant and theatrical, We, at LUXit couldn’t help but notice a common theme of healthy and dewy skin. So here are 3 easy tips to getting that lush skin celebrities like Lana Condor, Serena Williams and Emily Blunt had at the 2019 MET Gala.

Skin Prep Is Key

Normally you’ll rush through the skin prep so you can get to the fun stuff – Makeup! But don’t be too haste take the time to really massage the skin. Not only will this improve blood circulation, but it will promote lymphatic drainage which will decrease the puffiness in your skin and leave you with a supple, pillowy texture.

Skip the Powder

Up to the ante on the dewiness by skipping the powder and opting for a cream product instead. Cream products tend to layer much better than powder and will look more natural for an everyday look. You also can control the opacity of the pigment a little bit better. For a 3-dimensional glow use your fingers to pat a highlight on the cheek and cheekbone. Then layer a soft pink cream blush over the apples of the cheek, this will create amazing shine in the skin.

Monochrome is the easiest

Before tucking away the cream blush in your makeup bag feel free to also gently smudge a little bit of colour across the eye and lips to tie in the blush. It doesn’t have to be pink either, you could opt for a peachy colour just like Emily Blunt did this year.

Of course, there were more extravagant looks from Lady Gaga, Celine Dion and Priyanka Chopra just to name a few dazzling ladies. If you ever needed your own glam team to recreate these looks LUXit has you covered with a Beautician and Makeup Artist that can come to you.
